The successful candidate will primarily teach Economics at Key Stage 5, helping students develop a detailed understanding of both microeconomic and macroeconomic principles.
You will teach topics such as markets, competition, market failure, economic growth, inflation, unemployment, taxation, government policy and international trade, depending on the examination specification.
The school is looking for someone who can bring economic theory to life through current examples, data analysis and discussion. Students should be encouraged to question economic decisions, evaluate different viewpoints and support their arguments with relevant evidence.
You will also be responsible for assessing student progress and preparing pupils for A-Level examinations through structured writing practice, data-response activities and targeted revision.
