About the Role

The successful Finance Officer will provide day-to-day financial support across the school, ensuring transactions, records, and reporting are completed accurately and in line with relevant procedures. Working closely with the School Business Manager and senior leadership team, you will oversee invoice processing, purchase orders, reconciliations, budget monitoring, supplier payments, and general financial administration. You will also assist with month-end processes, audits, and financial reporting when required. This role would suit someone with previous finance experience who is highly organised, numerate, and confident working with confidential information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and supplier payments
  • Maintain accurate financial records and finance databases
  • Complete bank and account reconciliations
  • Support budget monitoring and expenditure tracking
  • Assist with financial reports and month-end procedures
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding invoices and payment queries
  • Support internal and external audit requirements
  • Ensure financial processes comply with school policies and regulations
