An ambitious and rapidly improving Secondary Academy in Dudley is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join its successful Mathematics department from September. About the Role

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that promote mathematical fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving.

Students follow a broad curriculum covering algebra, geometry, statistics, probability, and mathematical modelling, with opportunities to study A-Level Mathematics in the sixth form. You will support learners in developing confidence with mathematical concepts while preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations through engaging teaching and effective assessment.

Beyond the classroom, you will contribute to intervention programmes, curriculum development, and enrichment opportunities including maths competitions, STEM projects, and numeracy initiatives that encourage students to develop a genuine appreciation for the subject.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5

  • Deliver engaging, well-structured, and differentiated lessons

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level

  • Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics

  • Experience contributing to STEM or numeracy enrichment initiatives

  • Ability to support intervention programmes that raise attainment

  • A proven track record of securing excellent student outcomes
