About the Role
As a Design & Technology Supply Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 where appropriate. You may be asked to cover a range of DT specialisms, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, and Food Technology, depending on your experience.
Many assignments will involve following existing lesson plans and resources, allowing you to focus on effective classroom delivery and maintaining a positive learning environment.
You will be expected to uphold the school's behaviour and safeguarding expectations while ensuring practical activities are conducted safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Teach Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4

Deliver KS5 lessons where appropriate to your experience

Follow lesson plans and departmental schemes of work

Deliver practical and theory-based DT lessons

Maintain excellent classroom management

Ensure safe working practices in workshops and specialist classrooms

Support pupils with practical projects and coursework

Assess and monitor student progress where required

Follow individual school policies and safeguarding procedures

Provide appropriate feedback to permanent teaching staff

Candidate Requirements
We are looking for Design & Technology Teachers who are:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
