A technology-focused secondary school in Hillingdon is seeking a highly skilled DT Technician specializing in Digital Fabrication and CAD/CAM systems from January 2026.
Seeking a technical expert to maintain and support laser cutters, 3D printers, and CNC machinery. You will be responsible for the setup, maintenance, and safe operation of all digital manufacturing equipment. The role involves troubleshooting software issues, training staff and students on equipment usage, and managing the specialized materials (filaments, acrylics).
Experience and Qualifications- Proven experience operating and maintaining professional-grade CAD/CAM machinery.
- Strong knowledge of 2D Design, Fusion 360, or similar design software.
- Excellent understanding of workshop safety, particularly related to digital equipment.
- Practical skills in troubleshooting and performing minor repairs on specialized DT hardware.
The DT department is focused on innovation and digital design, with high student uptake at GCSE.
