Key Responsibilities- Teaching & Learning
- Deliver high-quality English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5)
- Plan and teach engaging, challenging lessons that inspire a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking
- Prepare pupils for internal assessments and public examinations (GCSE/A Level)
- Differentiating teaching to support all learners, including high-attaining pupils and those requiring additional support
- Assessment & Progress
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
- Use assessment data to inform teaching and support pupil achievement
- Prepare pupils effectively for examinations, developing strong analytical and writing skills
- Pastoral Care
- Act as a form tutor, supporting pupils’ academic progress and personal development
- Build strong relationships with pupils and parents, maintaining clear and professional communication
- Contribute to the school’s strong pastoral system and uphold safeguarding responsibilities
- Curriculum & Department Contribution
