A high-performing secondary academy in Derby is seeking an inspiring Religious Education Teacher to join its Humanities faculty from January 2026. This full-time, permanent post offers the opportunity to teach RE across Key Stages 3 to 5, within a dynamic and aspirational school community committed to academic excellence and character education.

- Holds QTS, PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Has strong subject knowledge in Religious Studies, Philosophy, and Ethics

The Role in More Detail
You will plan, teach and assess RE lessons across the age range, exploring philosophy, theology, ethics and world religions. Lessons will encourage students to analyse, question and reflect, developing skills of argument, empathy and reasoning. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations and contribute to the ongoing refinement of the curriculum. There will also be opportunities to lead enrichment such as discussion forums, social action projects and interfaith initiatives, helping students apply their learning beyond the classroom and engage with contemporary moral issues.
