Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS3/KS4).
  • Create a positive, structured learning environment where students feel confident using tools, modelling materials, and testing prototypes.
  • Differentiating learning resources to stretch high-attaining pupils while robustly supporting students with lower prior attainment or SEN requirements.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress effectively, using data to inform interventions and maximize GCSE outcomes.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and continuous professional development sessions.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • A strong degree in a design or technology-related discipline.
  • Proven ability to raise attainment and inspire engagement in practical, hands-on environments.
  • Excellent organizational skills, a team-player mentality, and a strict adherence to safety guidelines.
