A forward-thinking primary school in Dagenham is seeking an experienced and energetic Year 5 Teacher to join the Key Stage 2 phase from January 2026. The successful Year 5 Teacher will plan and deliver sequenced units that develop pupils’ reasoning, fluency and extended writing. This role provides scope to lead targeted small-group work, contribute to cross-curricular projects and help shape whole-school practice across Dagenham. The post will commence January 2026, with induction and planning sessions in the weeks leading to January 2026 so the Year 5 Teacher is prepared for the spring term.

The Year 5 Teacher will use assessment to set precise next steps, design engaging lessons that deepen subject knowledge and run booster sessions where required. The Year 5 Teacher will work closely with subject leads and teaching assistants to secure strong outcomes and will contribute to moderation and reporting. Working in Dagenham, the appointed Year 5 Teacher will have access to CPD and supportive leadership.
