About the role - Reception Teacher

The Reception Teacher will lead daily phonics sessions, design language-rich continuous provision and deliver focused adult-led activities. The Reception Teacher will use high-quality observation to assess progress and plan next steps. From planning ahead of January 2026 through to classroom delivery after January 2026, the Reception Teacher will be central to children’s first school experiences.

Reception Teacher - day-to-day

Mornings (on working days): the Reception Teacher leads phonics, story times and early numeracy. Afternoons (on working days): the Reception Teacher reviews observations, plans provision and liaises with families. The Reception Teacher will prepare resources prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and teach from January 2026.
