We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a well-regarded Catholic secondary school in the vibrant borough of Croydon. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students with a love for history, geography, and religious studies within a faith-based environment.
The Role
- Delivering high-quality lessons in Geography, History, and Religious Studies to Key Stage 3 students.
- Teaching your specialist subject(s) to GCSE and A-Level, preparing students for examinations and life beyond the classroom.
- Developing and implementing a dynamic curriculum that encourages critical thinking and a deeper understanding of the world, in line with the school's Catholic ethos.
- Collaborating with a supportive team to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Participating in extracurricular activities that enrich students' academic experience, such as field trips or debate clubs.
Candidate Requirements
- A degree in History, Geography, Religious Studies, or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE.
- Proven experience teaching across the Humanities, with the ability to teach at least one subject to A-Level.
- A strong passion for your subject and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
- An understanding and appreciation of the Catholic faith and its values within an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Salary & Application
The salary for this position is competitive and will be paid to the MPS/UPS scale, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
