The school is seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a well-established and successful Humanities Department. You will teach History across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for a suitably experienced candidate. The role involves delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that develop students’ analytical, evaluative, and written skills. You will guide students through a diverse historical curriculum, encouraging debate, independent thinking, and a strong understanding of historical context. The role also includes preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations and supporting them to achieve excellent outcomes. You will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment development, and the sharing of best practice within the department. Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in History or a related subject
- Experience teaching History at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge across KS3–KS5
