The school is seeking to appoint a passionate and knowledgeable French Teacher to join a well-established and successful Modern Foreign Languages Department. You will teach French across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 for a suitably experienced candidate. The role involves delivering engaging and interactive lessons that develop students’ listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. You will promote enthusiasm for languages and support students in gaining confidence in real-world communication. The role includes preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations and supporting them to achieve strong academic outcomes. You will contribute to curriculum planning, assessment development, and the sharing of best practice within the department. You may also support enrichment activities such as language clubs, cultural events, trips, and exchange opportunities.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in French or a related subject
- Experience teaching French at secondary level
- Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with GCSE specifications (A Level desirable)
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Commitment to inclusive teaching and high academic standards
