Finance Assistant and Administrator
An outstanding Primary School in the London Borough of Croydon is seeking a professional and highly organised Finance Assistant and Administrator to join their experienced school support and office operations team. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative and financial support, assisting the school business manager, senior leaders, and academic teams. Responsibilities will include processing purchase orders and supplier invoices, maintaining student financial progress records, updating school budget tracking databases, managing front-office correspondence, and supporting attendance, dinner money, and parent-pay transactions.
You will also support communication with parents, visitors, and external suppliers while ensuring that all financial records and personal data are handled professionally and confidentially at all times. Strong organisational skills are essential, as the role requires the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities within a busy school front-office environment.
The school is looking for someone who is proactive, reliable, and able to manage day-to-day financial data entry efficiently both independently and as part of a collaborative administrative team. Good IT skills and knowledge of school administrative or compliance data systems are important, alongside strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous financial administration, bookkeeping, or relevant school office experience
