An Outstanding Secondary School in Coventry is seeking to appoint an experienced and proactive Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of its modern and well-maintained campus. About the Role
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the effective management of the school site, ensuring that buildings, grounds, and facilities are maintained to the highest standards and remain fully compliant with health and safety and statutory requirements. Working closely with the School Business Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee maintenance operations, contractor management, site security, compliance checks, planned improvement projects, and the coordination of facilities services across the school. This is a varied leadership role requiring excellent organisational skills, practical problem-solving ability, and experience managing a busy educational or commercial site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation and maintenance of the school site
- Ensure compliance with health and safety and statutory regulations
- Oversee contractors, maintenance schedules, and improvement projects
- Manage site security, access control, and emergency procedures
- Monitor the condition of buildings, grounds, and facilities
- Maintain accurate compliance records, risk assessments, and maintenance documentation
- Support budget management, procurement, and facilities planning
