Science Teaching Role in a Faith School
A well-regarded Faith School in Coventry is seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join its successful Science department from September. About the Role
You will teach Science across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire students and support excellent academic progress.
The role will involve teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach your specialist science at A-Level depending on experience and departmental needs.
You will support students in developing practical laboratory skills, scientific literacy, and analytical thinking while preparing them for GCSE and A-Level examinations. The successful candidate will also contribute to STEM enrichment, intervention programmes, and wider departmental development.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Science across KS3, KS4, and KS5
Deliver engaging lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Plan and supervise practical laboratory activities
Assess student work and provide detailed, constructive feedback
Monitor student progress and implement targeted intervention strategies
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support STEM clubs, competitions, and enrichment activities

Candidate Requirements
Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Science at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Experience teaching A-Level Science
Ability to contribute to STEM enrichment activities
Experience working within a values-led or faith school environment
Strong track record of improving student outcomes
