The EYFS Teacher will design rich indoor and outdoor continuous provision, lead focused adult-led sessions, observe and assess development and plan precise next steps that secure rapid progress. The EYFS Teacher will establish a nurturing learning environment, lead high-impact adult-led sessions and facilitate child-initiated learning that develops communication, early literacy and number. The EYFS Teacher will maintain learning journals, engage families and lead transition arrangements into Year 1. Based in Coventry, the EYFS Teacher will benefit from strong support staff, modern resources and a collaborative leadership team.
Main duties- Plan and deliver purposeful EYFS sessions that build language, physical development and early numeracy.
- Observe, assess and record children’s progress and use evidence to plan targeted group work as EYFS Teacher.
- Lead transition work and build strong home–school relationships across Coventry.
- Coach nursery practitioners and assistants to maintain continuous provision and high-quality routines.
- Contribute to whole-school EYFS improvement, safeguarding and parental engagement initiatives.
- Qualified teacher with substantial EYFS experience and confident assessment practice as an EYFS Teacher.
- Passionate about play-led pedagogy, highly observant and skilled at planning next steps that secure progress.
- Strong communicator who will engage families and colleagues in the Coventry community.
