The Role
- Teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3–4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience
- Deliver engaging lessons that develop computational thinking, programming skills and digital literacy
- Inspire students to explore the wider impact of technology in society and the modern workplace
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that challenge and support learners of all abilities
- Assess student progress effectively and provide clear, constructive feedback
- Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE examinations and coursework components
- Contribute to the continued development of the Computer Science curriculum and digital learning initiatives
- Support enrichment opportunities such as coding clubs, STEM events, robotics activities or digital competitions
- Play an active role in the pastoral life of the school, including form tutoring where required
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Has a degree in Computer Science or a closely related subject
- Demonstrates strong subject knowledge, including programming and computing principles
- Is able to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for technology and problem-solving
- Maintains high expectations for both academic achievement and behaviour
- Is reflective and committed to continuous professional development
