Role: Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages – KS3–KS4

A secondary academy in Colchester is seeking an MFL Teacher to join its team as soon as possible. The school is looking for a teacher who can make language learning accessible, build pupils' confidence in spoken communication and support progress towards GCSE qualifications.
The Role
Teach French and/or Spanish across KS3 and KS4, depending on specialism.
Develop listening, speaking, reading, writing, grammar and vocabulary.
Use structured speaking activities and regular retrieval practice.
Prepare GCSE pupils for examination requirements and oral assessments.
Contribute to department planning and the development of engaging learning resources.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Has strong subject knowledge in French, Spanish or another relevant language.
Can create inclusive lessons that encourage active participation.
Is confident managing behaviour and assessing pupil progress.
