Exam Officer

A well-established Secondary School in Colchester is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Exam Officer to join its support staff team on a full-time, permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator to take responsibility for the planning and delivery of all internal and external examinations. Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and awarding bodies, you will ensure examinations run efficiently while maintaining full compliance with JCQ regulations.

You will oversee the complete examination cycle, including examination entries, timetable preparation, room allocation, candidate records and access arrangements. You will liaise with examination boards, recruit and coordinate invigilators, prepare examination materials and ensure all deadlines are met accurately.

The successful candidate will also manage mock examinations, support post-results services, maintain confidential records and provide examination guidance to students, parents and staff throughout the academic year.

This role would suit someone who enjoys working in a structured environment, has exceptional attention to detail and can remain calm under pressure during busy examination periods.

Requirements
