The Role
- Delivering engaging practical and theoretical DT lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Planning differentiated activities that accommodate a range of abilities and learning needs.
- Developing students' confidence in designing, making and evaluating practical outcomes.
- Ensuring appropriate health and safety procedures are followed during practical activities.
- Assessing student work and providing constructive feedback to support progress.
- Contributing to curriculum planning and the wider development of the department.
- Maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Supporting extracurricular and enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
Experience and Qualifications
- Design & Technology Teacher with the ability to teach KS3 and KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge and practical expertise.
- Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as PGCE.
- Experience delivering practical and project-based learning.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to supporting student progress and creativity.
- Legal ability to work within the UK.
