About the Role
You will provide essential technical support to the Design and Technology department, ensuring classrooms and workshops are fully prepared for practical lessons.
Responsibilities will include
- Preparing materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons.
- Maintaining machinery, tools and workshop equipment.
- Supporting staff with demonstrations and practical classroom activities.
- Monitoring workshop health and safety procedures.
- Maintaining stock levels and ordering materials when required.
- Ensuring workshops and preparation areas remain clean, safe and organised.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a practical, technical or workshop-based environment.
- Experience within a school Design and Technology department is desirable.
- Knowledge of workshop equipment, tools and machinery.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures.
- A proactive approach and the ability to support a busy teaching department.
- An enhanced DBS check will be required in line with the role.
