We are currently recruiting an exceptional Chemistry Teacher to join an academically outstanding and highly respected independent school in Reading. This is a full-time, permanent position beginning January 2026 and represents an excellent opportunity for a subject specialist who takes pride in delivering high-quality scientific education within a well-resourced and supportive environment.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will teach Chemistry across KS3–KS5, delivering a curriculum that blends conceptual understanding, practical experimentation and strong scientific methodology. Lessons will involve developing student confidence in laboratory work, encouraging analytical thinking and preparing students thoroughly for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
You will also contribute to:
- Designing and refining schemes of work
- Developing practical resources and demonstrations
- Supporting sixth-form students with university-level preparation
- Leading or contributing to clubs, competitions and enrichment such as Chemistry Olympiad, CREST Awards or STEM events

Experience & Qualifications
