Our client is seeking an articulate, practical Design & Technology ECT to join their high-performing design engineering faculty from September. This full-time post will see you delivering dynamic, hands-on lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE DT / Product Design), and supporting post-16 vocational pathways.

The department boasts cutting-edge workshop machinery, including 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, and dedicated CAD/CAM software suites (SolidWorks, 2D Design). You will guide pupils through structural principles, material properties, iterative design processes, and portfolio construction (NEA).

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE / SCITT completion expected by July

  • Degree in Design & Technology, Product Design, Industrial Design, or Mechanical Engineering

  • Solid understanding of workshop health and safety protocols and modern CAD/CAM software

  • Enthusiasm for practical problem-solving and inspiring future designers and engineers
