RS ECT required January 2026. Good mixed school based in Chelmsford. RS ECT to join a reflective, well-led and academically ambitious Humanities faculty.

Our Client is looking for a Religious Studies ECT to deliver KS3–KS4 RS within a nurturing and structured school environment in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will benefit from a clear induction programme, supportive mentoring and access to a well-curated Humanities curriculum.

School Information: This 11–18 school educates around 1,250 students and consistently achieves strong academic results across the Humanities subjects. The RS department delivers a curriculum centred on ethical reasoning, philosophy, world religions and critical discussion. Classrooms are well resourced with digital platforms, discussion materials and high-quality textbooks. Teachers describe the ethos as calm, inclusive and professional.

ECTs are provided with weekly coaching, additional planning time and regular observation cycles to help refine teaching practice. Leadership is supportive and engaged, focusing on wellbeing, classroom consistency and effective pedagogy. This is an ideal setting for an ECT who values structure, collaboration and academic challenge.
