A specialist performing arts secondary school in Chelmsford is looking for a Drama Teacher to provide maternity cover on a 0.8 FTE basis.
The department is seeking a practitioner who can combine disciplined teaching with imagination and performance. You will teach practical Drama across KS3–KS5, develop students' skills in voice, movement, characterisation and devising, and support examination groups with both performance and written components.
The school has a strong culture of performance, so the successful candidate may also contribute to productions, showcases and workshops. Experience of different theatrical practitioners and performance styles would be welcome.
You should be confident managing practical spaces, giving constructive rehearsal feedback and helping students become more expressive and reflective performers. A relevant degree and teaching qualification are desirable.
