An ambitious and exceptional primary school in Cambridge is seeking a proactive, reflective and emotionally intelligent Year 4 Teacher to join the team from January 2026. The children are hardworking, caring, inquisitive and imaginative, and the staff are dedicated to developing well-rounded, confident pupils within a supportive pastoral environment. The school is looking for a Year 4 Teacher who can drive attainment, deliver engaging lessons and bring creativity and consistency to Key Stage 2. The appointed Year 4 Teacher will be joining a highly supportive team who work collaboratively to ensure strong academic and pastoral outcomes. Responsibilities of a Year 4 Teacher
- Lead the pastoral care of pupils starting their journey through Key Stage 2
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
- Focus on individual pupil progress, identifying strengths and supporting areas for development
- Strengthen mathematical understanding, introducing concepts such as fractions, statistics and geometry
- Develop pupils’ writing skills, supporting them to create structured narratives with clear settings, plots and characters
- Track pupil progress and provide feedback to parents when required
- Contribute to a positive, supportive and collaborative learning environment
