We are seeking a Teacher of Psychology & Sociology to join a leading independent 13–18 school in Cambridge, starting January 2026. This is a permanent position, with full-time and part-time applicants equally welcome.

The Social Sciences are popular A-Level subjects, with an emphasis on critical thinking, debate and independent research. The Role

As our Psychology & Sociology Teacher, you will:

  • Teach Psychology and/or Sociology at KS4 and KS5, depending on the school’s structure and your expertise.
  • Deliver engaging lessons that encourage analysis, evaluation and discussion.
  • Support pupils in developing strong research and essay-writing skills.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
  • Contribute to academic enrichment such as Social Science clubs, talks, conferences and trips.
  • (If applicable) Lead on an area such as Oxbridge preparation, EPQ supervision or departmental enrichment.
