About the Role

The successful candidate will teach English Language and English Literature across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging lessons that inspire a lifelong appreciation of literature, language, and creative expression.

You will encourage students to become thoughtful readers, confident writers, and critical thinkers through a broad and ambitious curriculum. Key Responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching English at secondary level

  • Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

  • Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom practice

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Ability to teach English at A-Level

  • Experience delivering strong GCSE and A-Level outcomes
