The Role:
As Data Manager, you will play a central role in supporting school improvement by managing, analysing, and presenting student data. You will work closely with senior leadership, teaching staff, and administrative teams to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and used effectively to drive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop the school’s Management Information System (MIS)
- Produce accurate reports on student progress, attainment, and attendance
- Support data collection cycles including assessments, exams, and census returns
- Analyse trends and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making
- Ensure compliance with data protection and GDPR regulations
- Train staff on data systems and reporting tools
- Manage exam data and support external reporting requirements
Requirements:
- Experience working with school data systems (e.g. SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Advanced Excel and data management skills
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly to non-specialists
- High level of organisation and confidentiality
- Previous experience in a school or education setting is highly desirable
