Biology Teacher – Cambridge
A successful and well-regarded school in Cambridge is seeking an enthusiastic Biology Teacher to join its Science department from September. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with a strong passion for Biology who can inspire students to develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills, and understanding of the subject.
The successful Biology Teacher will be expected to teach KS4 and KS5 Biology, delivering lessons that cover key areas of the curriculum while encouraging students to develop analytical, investigative, and practical scientific skills.
You will plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles. The role will also involve assessing student work, monitoring progress, providing meaningful feedback, and preparing students for examinations.
Practical Science forms an important part of Biology education, and the successful candidate should be confident in creating opportunities for students to develop their investigative skills and apply theoretical knowledge in practical contexts.
You will work as part of a collaborative Science department alongside experienced teachers and supportive departmental leadership. There will be opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and wider school activities.
The school welcomes applications from experienced Biology Teachers as well as ECTs who are looking for a supportive environment in which to develop their teaching career. Overseas-trained teachers with a recognised formal teaching qualification may also be considered.

Experience and Qualifications:
- Biology Teacher with the ability to teach KS4 and KS5
- Formal teaching qualification with QTS, such as a PGCE
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the Biology curriculum
- Ability to deliver engaging theoretical and practical lessons
- Good classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to supporting student progress
- Legal ability to work within the UK
