A thriving secondary school in the London Borough of Bromley is looking to appoint an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to lead its busy administration function. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled administrator who enjoys managing people, improving processes and ensuring the school office provides an efficient and professional service to students, parents and staff.

Working closely with the Headteacher, Senior Leadership Team and School Business Manager, you will oversee the daily operation of the school office while managing a team of administrators. You will ensure administrative systems run efficiently, school records are accurately maintained and visitors receive an excellent first impression of the school.

This is a key leadership support role that offers genuine responsibility and the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of a well-established secondary school.

As Office Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the daily operation of the school office.
  • Supervising and supporting the administration team.
  • Overseeing admissions and pupil administration.
  • Maintaining the school's Management Information System.
  • Coordinating communication with parents and external agencies.
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding administration.
  • Monitoring office budgets and resource ordering.
  • Preparing reports for senior leaders and governors.
  • Reviewing and improving administrative procedures.
  • Ensuring GDPR compliance across office systems.
  • Supporting school events and leadership administration.
  • Providing operational support to the Senior Leadership Team.
