Caretaker
A successful Secondary School in the London Borough of Bromley is seeking a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join its premises team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work and is committed to maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming school environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring that the school's buildings and grounds are maintained to a consistently high standard.
You will be responsible for opening and securing the school site, carrying out routine inspections, completing minor maintenance and repairs and responding promptly to maintenance requests. Working alongside the Site Manager, you will ensure classrooms, corridors and communal areas remain safe, clean and fit for purpose throughout the school day.
You will assist with setting up rooms for examinations, assemblies, performances, parents' evenings and other school events while supporting contractors working on site and ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
The role also includes maintaining external areas, monitoring security systems, carrying out basic decorating and maintenance work and assisting with deliveries where required.
The successful candidate will have excellent practical skills, a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards across the school site.

Requirements
Previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience desirable
Good practical maintenance and repair skills
Knowledge of health and safety procedures
