An outstanding secondary academy in Bristol is seeking an articulate and analytical Economics Teacher to join its Social Sciences faculty for an immediate (ASAP) start. This is a premier opportunity to teach motivated students in a school celebrated for academic rigor, strong Sixth Form uptake, and excellent university progression.

Economics is one of the most popular A-Level options at this academy. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, intellectually stimulating Economics instruction primarily across Key Stage 5 (A-Level Microeconomics and Macroeconomics), with potential contributions to Key Stage 4 introductory modules.

Working alongside experienced commercial educators, you will guide Sixth Form students through economic modeling, quantitative data analysis, market failure evaluation, and macroeconomic policy critique. This is a full-time, ongoing or permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach high-impact A-Level Economics lessons in line with exam board specifications (AQA/Edexcel)
  • Develop students' quantitative data analysis, economic diagrammatic reasoning, and evaluative essay writing
  • Monitor, track, and assess student performance to ensure high attainment in external A-Level examinations
  • Mentor Sixth Form pupils preparing university applications for Economics, Finance, and PPE
  • Lead co-curricular activities, such as Stock Market competitions, Young Enterprise teams, and Economics debate clubs
  • Serve as a Sixth Form Tutor, delivering pastoral support, academic tracking, and high-level UCAS references
