Job Overview
Economics is one of the most popular A-Level options at this academy. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, intellectually stimulating Economics instruction primarily across Key Stage 5 (A-Level Microeconomics and Macroeconomics), with potential contributions to Key Stage 4 introductory modules.
Working alongside experienced commercial educators, you will guide Sixth Form students through economic modeling, quantitative data analysis, market failure evaluation, and macroeconomic policy critique. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities

Teach high-impact A-Level Economics lessons in line with exam board specifications (AQA/Edexcel)

Develop students' quantitative data analysis, economic diagrammatic reasoning, and evaluative essay writing

Monitor, track, and assess student performance to ensure high attainment in external A-Level examinations

Mentor Sixth Form pupils preparing university applications for Economics, Finance, and PPE (Philosophy, Politics, and Economics)

Lead co-curricular activities, such as Stock Market competitions, Young Enterprise teams, and Economics debate clubs

Serve as a Sixth Form Tutor, delivering pastoral support, academic tracking, and high-level UCAS references

Collaborate with faculty members to continuously enhance digital learning resources and revision workshops

Candidate Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or recognized UK teaching credentials (PGCE / SCITT)
