The Role

  • Teach Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical and theory-based Drama lessons
  • Inspire students to develop confidence, creativity and performance skills
  • Support students of all abilities through inclusive and differentiated teaching
  • Prepare students for GCSE Drama performances and written assessments
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources
  • Lead or support extracurricular activities such as school productions, drama clubs or performances
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Play an active role in the pastoral life of the school, including form tutoring

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds (or is working towards) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has a degree in Drama, Performing Arts or a related subject
  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for Drama
  • Is eager to develop their teaching practice as an Early Career Teacher
  • Has high expectations for student achievement and behaviour
  • Is reflective, creative and committed to ongoing professional development
  • Works well as part of a collaborative and supportive team
