Key Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging, high-impact Chemistry lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5 (A-Level)

  • Plan and execute safe, hands-on quantitative and qualitative laboratory practicals adhering to CLEAPSS standards

  • Prepare students for GCSE Separate Science and A-Level Chemistry examinations through structured assessment, feedback, and exam technique workshops

  • Support extracurricular STEM initiatives, including Chemistry Olympiads, Science Week events, and university extension classes

  • Serve as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral guidance, tracking, and academic support to your tutor group

  • Collaborate with science technicians to maintain high safety standards, chemical storage protocols, and equipment inventory

  • Contribute to ongoing scheme-of-work enhancements and digital learning platforms

  • Support the day-to-day operations and strategic growth of the Science department
