You will have the opportunity to deliver engaging and stimulating Psychology lessons, developing students' understanding of psychological theories, research methods and contemporary issues. The Opportunity

As a member of the Psychology Department, you will:

• Teach Psychology across the relevant Key Stages, with opportunities to teach GCSE and A Level depending on experience.

• Deliver engaging, challenging and intellectually stimulating Psychology lessons.

• Develop students' understanding of psychological theories, research methods and key concepts.

• Encourage critical thinking, evaluation and the application of psychological knowledge to real-world situations.

• Prepare students for examination success while fostering genuine enthusiasm for Psychology.

• Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives.

• Support enrichment activities, Psychology clubs, educational visits and wider school events.

• Play an active role in the wider life of the school through pastoral care and extracurricular involvement.

About You

The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.

• Possess strong subject knowledge in Psychology.

• Have experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and/or A Level.

• Build positive, respectful and productive relationships with students.

• Demonstrate consistently high expectations for achievement, effort and behaviour.

• Bring enthusiasm, creativity and innovative teaching approaches to the classroom.

• Enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive department and wider school community.
