A primary school in Braintree is seeking an experienced or ambitious Year 6 Teacher to support pupils through their final year of primary education. The successful applicant will combine effective preparation for end-of-Key-Stage-2 assessments with a broad curriculum and strong pastoral support.
The Role
Lead a Year 6 class and deliver the full primary curriculum.
Plan targeted teaching in reading, writing and mathematics.
Use assessment information to identify gaps and monitor progress.
Develop pupils’ independence, resilience and readiness for secondary school.
Communicate effectively with parents and contribute to transition arrangements.
The Candidate
Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Can use assessment data to inform targeted teaching.
Maintains high expectations while supporting pupils’ wellbeing.
Works effectively with colleagues, support staff and families.
