A welcoming primary school in Bradford is recruiting a friendly and practical Site Assistant to join the site team from January 2026. The Site Assistant will support opening and closing procedures, carry out cleaning and grounds duties, assist with minor repairs and help prepare the school for lettings and events. This Site Assistant role in Bradford will be operational from January 2026, with induction and handover activities arranged in the weeks before January 2026 so the Site Assistant can begin the spring term confidently.

The successful Site Assistant will assist with deliveries, help set up rooms for assemblies and functions, support playground maintenance and keep external areas tidy. The Site Assistant will follow health & safety procedures, complete routine site checks and report any issues to the Site Manager. Working in Bradford, the Site Assistant will be part of a small, supportive team and will help maintain high standards in a busy school community.
Responsibilities- Carry out opening/closing routines, monitor security and assist with alarm checks.
- Perform cleaning and basic grounds maintenance to keep the site safe and tidy.
- Assist with setting up and clearing away for events, lettings and parents’ meetings.
- Undertake basic maintenance tasks, move furniture and report larger repairs promptly.
- Keep accurate records of stock, deliveries and site checks to support operational continuity.
- Practical experience in cleaning, caretaking or site-support duties, ideally within education or community settings.
- Able to perform manual tasks safely, follow H&S guidance and use basic tools responsibly.
- Reliable, flexible and able to work across Bradford with availability to start January 2026.
- Good communicator who works well with staff, visitors and contractors and contributes positively to the Bradford site team.
