A busy primary school in Bradford is recruiting a friendly and practical Site Assistant to join the premises team from January 2026. The Site Assistant will support daily opening and closing, carry out cleaning and upkeep tasks, assist with minor repairs and help to prepare the building for events and lettings. This Site Assistant role in Bradford offers variety, routine and the chance to work as part of a committed site team. The Site Assistant will receive induction training prior to January 2026 and will begin duties in January 2026.

  • Support site opening/closing and carry out routine premises checks for safety and cleanliness.
  • Carry out cleaning tasks, support waste management and maintain external areas to a high standard.
  • Assist with minor maintenance tasks and report larger repairs to the Site Manager or contractors.
  • Help set up rooms for events, lettings and parents' evenings and ensure equipment is stored safely.
  • Support deliveries, stock checks and basic inventory for site supplies.

Person specification:

  • Practical experience in cleaning, site or caretaking support, ideally within a school or community setting.
  • Able to perform manual tasks safely, follow H&S guidance and use basic tools responsibly.
  • Reliable, flexible and able to work across Bradford with availability to start in January.
  • Good communicator who can work positively with site colleagues, staff and visitors.
