We are seeking a proactive, technically skilled and confident IT Technician to join a thriving, digitally forward secondary school in Bradford. About the Role

You will work as part of the ICT Support Team to ensure the smooth operation of the school’s IT systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing first-line technical support to staff and students across the school
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, printing and network issues
  • Maintaining and updating ICT suites, classroom PCs, laptops and mobile devices
  • Configuring and supporting Microsoft 365, user accounts, permissions and profiles
  • Supporting AV equipment such as projectors, interactive boards and digital signage
  • Assisting with server monitoring, backups and device imaging
  • Supporting installations, upgrades and whole-school IT improvement projects
  • Logging and managing helpdesk tickets efficiently
  • Ensuring adherence to data protection and safeguarding procedures

The role requires excellent problem-solving skills and a friendly, customer-focused approach.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Previous IT support experience (experience in education advantageous)
  • Strong technical understanding of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, networks and devices
  • Effective communication, patience and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks
  • Relevant IT qualification (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco etc.) desirable

Salary

Paid according to local support staff scales, based on experience.
