Our client is seeking a Social Sciences Teacher to join a highly regarded secondary school in Bournemouth, starting January.
Social Sciences Teacher (Sociology/Psychology; Criminology desirable) – full-time

You will teach KS4–KS5 (GCSE/Level 2 and A-Level/Level 3), delivering engaging, academically rigorous lessons that build critical thinking, research methods, and confident exam technique. The school is known for its inclusive ethos, ambitious curriculum, and consistently positive behaviour.
Experience and Qualifications- Specialist Social Sciences teacher (Sociology or Psychology essential; Criminology an advantage)
- An enthusiastic, inspiring classroom practitioner with strong subject knowledge
- Experience of teaching GCSE/Level 2 and A-Level/Level 3
- QTS/PGCE (or equivalent)
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Roll: Approximately 1,600 students (11–18), including a Sixth Form of ~400
- Culture: High expectations, strong pastoral systems, and a broad curriculum preparing students for university and apprenticeships
- Facilities: Modern classrooms with excellent ICT, Sixth Form study hubs, and seminar spaces suitable for Social Sciences
- Uptake: Large post-16 numbers in Psychology and Sociology, with multiple teaching groups each year
- Outcomes: GCSE 9–5 and A-Level A –B above national * with strong value-added across recent cohorts
- Destinations: Many students progress to Russell Group and other selective universities for Psychology, Criminology, Sociology, Law, and related fields
