The Role
You'll take overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring the premises are safe, compliant, and presented to a high standard. Key responsibilities include:
- Opening and securing the school each day
- Carrying out routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections
- Managing contractors and overseeing site projects
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, fire safety, asbestos, and legionella regulations
- Completing statutory checks and maintaining accurate compliance records
- Preparing classrooms, halls, and outdoor spaces for school events and activities
- Monitoring the condition of the building, grounds, and play equipment
- Supporting the leadership team with premises planning and improvement projects
