A week in the life – LKS2 Teacher

Mornings on working days: the LKS2 Teacher leads maths and English sequences that build fluency and reasoning across Years 3 and 4. Afternoons on working days: the LKS2 Teacher delivers hands‑on foundation topics, supports small‑group interventions and contributes to project work. Outside contact time the LKS2 Teacher plans, moderates and liaises with parents and inclusion staff; all planning activity commences before January 2026 and continues beyond January 2026.

LKS2 Teacher Responsibilities

The LKS2 Teacher will plan cohesive blocks across Years 3 and 4, use assessment to personalise learning, and participate in transitional work with Year 2 and Year 5 colleagues. The LKS2 Teacher will attend induction in January 2026, be prepared to teach from January 2026 and will take a full part in phase meetings starting in January 2026.

LKS2 Teacher Requirements

We seek an LKS2 Teacher with QTS, secure KS2 experience and excellent organisational skills. The LKS2 Teacher must be available for pre‑term planning prior to January 2026 for induction in January 2026 and to teach from January 2026 in a part‑time capacity. The LKS2 Teacher should be collaborative, data‑literate and committed to pupil progress.
