Attention experienced teachers: a Birmingham primary is recruiting a versatile KS2 Teacher to teach Key Stage 2 from January 2026. The appointed KS2 Teacher will help drive pupil progress across upper and lower KS2.

Pre-term planning takes place before January 2026, induction is scheduled in January 2026, and the KS2 Teacher will teach from January 2026.

What this role offers:
  • The KS2 Teacher will join a collaborative phase team and access subject-specific CPD from January 2026.
  • Strong pastoral support and coaching to help the KS2 Teacher develop as a practitioner.

Main duties:
  • Plan and teach coherent English and maths sequences as the KS2 Teacher.
  • Lead engaging foundation topics, practical science and project work as the KS2 Teacher.
  • Use assessment effectively to close gaps and run interventions as the KS2 Teacher.

The KS2 Teacher will prepare assessment evidence ahead of review points after January 2026 and will be in post from January 2026.

Desired attributes:

Applicants should be a qualified KS2 Teacher (QTS/PGCE or equivalent) with secure subject knowledge across KS2 and experience of effective differentiation. The KS2 Teacher must be available for planning prior to January 2026, attend induction in January 2026, and commence teaching from January 2026.
