A well-established and high-achieving Good secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join their administrative team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong financial skills who is looking to work in a supportive school environment.
The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations of the school, including processing invoices, managing purchase orders, handling payments and maintaining accurate financial records. You will assist with budget monitoring, reconcile accounts and support the School Business Manager with financial reporting.
You will also liaise with staff and external suppliers, ensuring that financial processes are followed correctly and efficiently. Strong attention to detail is essential, as well as the ability to manage deadlines and prioritise workloads effectively.
The role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, along with a good understanding of financial systems. Experience in a school or public sector setting would be beneficial, although not essential.
