English Teacher required to work on a full-time position from January 2026 at a mixed 11–18 academy in Sandwell, West Midlands. The successful candidate will deliver English across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach A-Level for the right candidate. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and ECTs who are passionate about inspiring students through high-quality teaching and learning.
School Information: This large, oversubscribed 11–18 academy serves over 1,400 students and is well-established as one of the key schools within the Sandwell community. The college benefits from specialist facilities including a modern library, dedicated ICT hubs to support English and Media, and a strong culture of literacy across the school. Experience and Qualifications:
- Qualified English Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with the ability to teach KS3 & KS4 (KS5 desirable)
- Strong subject knowledge and passion for English Literature and/or Language
- Enthusiastic, engaging, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning
- A formal teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE) or equivalent
- Legal right to work in the UK
