Economics Teacher

A large and well-established secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a committed Economics Teacher to join a supportive and well-structured Social Sciences faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Economics across KS4 and KS5, ensuring that lessons are well-planned, engaging, and appropriately differentiated to meet the needs of all learners. You will be expected to deliver both microeconomic and macroeconomic content with clarity and precision, supporting students to develop strong analytical and evaluative skills.

A key part of the role will involve monitoring student progress through assessment data, identifying gaps in learning, and implementing targeted intervention strategies. Strong examination preparation skills are essential to ensure students achieve strong outcomes.

You will also contribute to curriculum development, departmental planning, and resource creation, working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain consistency and high standards across the department.

Requirements

Ability to teach Economics at KS4 and KS5

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

Strong subject knowledge in Economics

Ability to deliver structured and differentiated lessons

Effective classroom management skills
