A forward-thinking secondary school in Birmingham is looking to appoint a skilled Data & MIS Officer to join its support staff team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026. The Role
The Data & MIS Officer will take responsibility for maintaining the school's management information systems while supporting the production of accurate data that informs strategic decision-making. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and maintaining the school's Management Information System (MIS)
- Producing attendance, behaviour, assessment and attainment reports for senior leaders
- Supporting assessment data collection and whole-school reporting cycles
- Ensuring pupil records are accurate, up to date and compliant with statutory requirements
- Assisting with the school census and other mandatory data returns
- Supporting staff with the effective use of MIS and reporting tools
- Maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality in line with GDPR
- Identifying opportunities to improve administrative processes and reporting efficiency
